Klamer Schutte of the TNO Physics and Electronics Laboratory (The Hague, Netherlands) contributes the CpppIma image processing class library. CppIma library provides an interface to common operations on images for C++ applications. The operations include file I/O, image creation, iterators for traversing images, and histogram creation. The library's is enabling easy construction of image processing programs. Secondarily, Schutte hopes to achieve reasonable performance and create an image library independent API.
